35 years ago today, the horror parody Repossessed received a limited theatrical release in the United States, just one month after the release of The Exorcist III.
The film received largely negative reviews on the few theatrical releases it had and, on its video release. Repossessed is also one of the few films to hold a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Linda Blair has shared that she thourougly enjoyed making this film. She added that she experienced a lot of stress making The Exorcist and appreciated getting the opportunity to spoof it.
